Beforeword is a one-chapter-a-day companion for reading in your own Bible. It provides a reference-only reminder, focus timer, progress map, private reflections, and a curated daily verse. For help, email lee.n.changhee.19@gmail.com.
Your first five days
Your first successful account sign-in starts exactly five days of included access. No payment method is required, and included access does not become a paid plan automatically. Signing out, reinstalling, deleting, or changing the device clock does not restart the five days.
Your daily chapter
Beforeword shows the chapter reference to read in your own Bible. Tap Start reading to use the focus timer, then tap “I finished <Book N>” when you are done. Beforeword records the completion on this device and advances your plan to the next chapter. You can pause or resume the plan in Settings.
Progress and reflections
Progress shows overall, Old Testament, and New Testament percentages, streaks, monthly totals, and a 66-book map. Journal keeps optional private reflections in calendar and list history. Challenge progress and reflections stay on this device and are not synced to a server.
Daily verse, widgets, and wallpaper
Choose a mood to receive a curated daily verse from the public-domain World English Bible. You can copy or share that verse, show it in supported widgets, or create a wallpaper image through the share sheet. Chapter reading happens in the Bible you already own or use.
Beforeword Pro
After included access ends, Beforeword Pro is available as a weekly, monthly, or yearly auto-renewing subscription. All plans unlock the same reading experience. Apple displays the localized price, renewal period, and exact billing terms before you confirm.
- To restore an existing purchase, use Restore purchases in Settings or on the Beforeword Pro screen.
- To manage, change, or cancel a plan, use Manage subscription in Settings or on the Beforeword Pro screen.
- If plans do not load, choose Try again. You are not charged unless Apple confirms the purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Canceling stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the paid period.
Sign out, reset, or delete
Open Settings for account controls. Signing out ends the active session. Reset local data clears the challenge, reflections, reminders, mood choices, and widget state stored on this device. Delete account and Beforeword data revokes active sessions, deletes the Beforeword account record, and deletes the device’s challenge data. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription, so manage or cancel billing separately through your Apple Account.
